Website Redesign in Houston

A website redesign rebuilds an existing site's design, structure and content while protecting the search visibility it has already earned. The technical half of the project matters as much as the visual half: URL mapping, permanent redirects, preserved content, and indexing verification after launch.

Redesigns are the most common way local businesses accidentally lose rankings. Done carefully, a redesign usually improves search performance rather than resetting it.

Who it is for

Is this the right fit?

  • Businesses with a dated site that still gets meaningful search traffic
  • Owners on a platform that has become slow, fragile or expensive to maintain
  • Companies that changed what they sell and whose site no longer describes it
  • Anyone who redesigned recently and watched traffic fall afterward

Problems this work solves

The last redesign cost you rankings

New URLs without redirects, deleted pages that were ranking, content trimmed for visual balance. Traffic drops within weeks and nobody connects it to the launch.

The site no longer matches the business

You added services, dropped others, changed your service area. The site still describes the company you were four years ago.

Maintenance is a fight

Every small change needs a developer or breaks something. That cost compounds quietly for years.

It cannot be made fast

Some page builders and themes carry so much overhead that no amount of optimization gets Core Web Vitals into good territory.

What is included

Pre-launch protection

  • Full inventory of existing URLs and their current traffic and rankings
  • A page-by-page keep, merge, rewrite or retire decision
  • A complete 301 redirect map for every changed URL
  • Preservation of content that is currently earning visibility

Rebuild

  • Improved structure with a dedicated page per service
  • Mobile-first, fast, accessible build
  • Refreshed design in your existing brand
  • Rewritten copy where the old copy was underperforming

Launch

  • Staging review and cross-device testing before go-live
  • Redirect verification and broken link sweep
  • Sitemap resubmission to Google and Bing
  • Analytics and conversion tracking carried over intact

Post-launch

  • Index coverage monitoring for the first weeks
  • Search Console error watch
  • Ranking comparison against the pre-launch baseline

How the work runs

1Baseline

Before anything changes, we record what currently ranks, what gets traffic and what converts. Without a baseline you cannot tell whether the redesign helped.

2Plan

URL map, redirect map, content decisions and new structure, agreed in writing before design begins.

3Build and test

The new site is built on staging and tested across devices, with redirects in place before launch rather than after.

4Launch and watch

Go live, verify indexing, then monitor closely for the first several weeks and correct anything that slipped.

Expectations

What you can realistically expect

  • A brief settling period after launch is normal while search engines recrawl.
  • With redirects handled properly, rankings usually recover within weeks and often improve.
  • Speed, accessibility and conversion improvements are measurable right away.
  • Content we retire because it was thin may cost a small amount of low-value traffic. That is intentional, and we will flag it first.

Pricing

How this is priced

Redesigns are quoted after we see the current site. If a targeted repair would get you most of the benefit for a fraction of the cost, we will recommend that instead.

Our published pricing covers search work: a $1,599 SEO setup and $899 per month for ongoing management. Everything on this page is quoted separately after a review, so you are paying for the scope your business actually needs.

Website Redesign: common questions

Should a redesign or SEO come first?

Audit first, always. If the current site is technically sound, do SEO first and get returns sooner. If the platform is holding everything back, redesign first, but build the SEO requirements into the redesign brief rather than treating them as a later phase.

Will I lose my rankings?

Not if URLs are mapped and redirected properly and ranking content is preserved. Losses happen when a redesign is treated as a purely visual project.

Can we keep our current domain and email?

Yes. Domain and email stay exactly as they are unless you ask otherwise.

How long does a redesign take?

It depends on site size and how fast content and photos come together. Content gathering is usually the bottleneck, not the build.
